I am an award-winning photographic artist whose work has been featured locally and nationally. My work has been featured in the Ghent Free Press, The Virginian-Pilot and the Richmond Times Dispatch. I have exhibited photographic artwork at The Richmond Virginia Main Library, 2nd Floor Gallery, and the Virginia Beach Central Library Gallery.
Originally, I was self-taught; I started shooting back in my freshman year of high school back in 1969 (yes, we had cameras back then!) After all these years, I decided to validate my education with certification. and I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography with two diplomas, one in Professional Photography (2006) and one in Professional Digital Photography (2008). I am now working in their advanced studies programs in Studio Portraiture, and Glamour / Nude Photography. I am currently pursuing another degree, this time in Photography, from Tidewater Community College's critically acclaimed Visual Arts Center, which will transfer to Thomas Edison State College in Trenton NJ towards a Bachelor of Arts in Photography degree.
I am a member of the Photographic Society of America, The Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, and the Royal Photographic Society of England. I also have served the Virginia Beach Photography Club (http://vbpc.org) as President and as Vice-President since 2005.
